I Can Do That! with Chad Stanton - Season 2 Episodes 13-18 - DVD

The handsome and simple projects of I Can Do That are the perfect introduction to woodworking and they're nice, quick builds for the experienced woodworker, too!

In this collection of six videos from ICDT host Chad Stanton, you'll learn step-by-step how to build solid, well-designed items using inexpensive materials and tools from the home center. Using basic hand tools and portable power tools, you can convert dimensional lumber into great-looking furniture for your home.

  • Episode 13: Simple Drawer Glides Chad walks you through selecting, installing, and adjusting the proper drawer glide to fit your project.
  • Episode 14: Tea Lamp This attractive project can be built with scraps from your shop. Chad shares a handsaw jig for cutting accurate half-lap joints by hand.
  • Episode 15: Shoji Screen Great for a dorm room or office, this screen goes together easily with dowels and uses a bamboo window blind for the accent panels! For this project, Chad switches to a router jig to make consistent half-laps.
  • Episode 16: Chair/Steps Build a two-in-one project that starts as a chair but flip the front legs up and over and you've got a step stool. Great for use in the kitchen and around the house.
  • Episode 17: Mantel Clock Made with dimensional pine and a battery-powered clock kit. Learn the simple steps to make this mantel clock with a pendulum for your home.
  • Episodes 18: Bar Stool This pine stool sports a raked back for comfort and Chad adds a simple upholstered seat to make your time by the bar more relaxing!
